Scuderia Sim Pink Maranello: the first all-female sim racing team is born

Scuderia Sim Pink Maranello has been established in Maranello as the world’s first all-female professional sim racing team. The project combines technological innovation with motorsport culture, bringing a new perspective to the eSports ecosystem, with a strong focus on virtual endurance racing competitions.

The team will compete with a Ferrari 296 in a black and pink livery in highly realistic sim racing events. These competitions are powered by advanced simulation software that closely replicates real-world motorsport dynamics, including fuel consumption, vehicle damage, tyre wear, grip levels, and suspension setup adjustments.

The lineup features five drivers: Amelia Wolf, Ilaria Fin, Gloria Torriero, and Katrina Edmunds, with Lucrezia Milanese acting as team manager. It is an international roster, bringing together diverse backgrounds and skill sets, enabling complementary approaches both on and off the virtual track.

Competitions and official debut

Races take place on high-end driving simulators capable of accurately reproducing real track conditions, from vehicle behaviour to race strategy management. The team will race a virtual Ferrari 296 in its signature black and pink livery.

The official debut is scheduled for the 24 Hours of Spa on 11–12 July, one of the most prestigious endurance events in both traditional motorsport and the eSports racing calendar.

Structure, development and support

The Sim Pink Maranello project is led by Simona Zanasi, whose vision is to create an initiative that brings together innovation, education, and inclusivity within motorsport. The concept was further developed together with Team Principal Federico Soave, who has contributed to its growth within the sim racing landscape.

The drivers are supported by coach Cristian Malghera, with additional developments already planned to further expand the team’s structure and expertise. The project is backed by technical partners, including Sim Maranello, and its official launch was attended by local institutions, including Maranello Mayor Luigi Zironi and Regional Councillor Ludovica Carla Ferrari.

Looking ahead

The project fits into a broader vision of sim racing as an increasingly competitive and inclusive platform, capable of attracting new audiences to motorsport through digital innovation. Within this context, the creation of an all-female team represents a meaningful step toward greater representation and diversity within the industry.

This vision is also reflected in real-world motorsport. Alongside the virtual team, Zanasi Group has recently unveiled Zanasi Racing, set to compete in the 2026 Italian Gran Turismo Championship. Among the drivers in the new lineup, a key presence will be Vittoria Piria, known as Vicky. A key project that further strengthens the connection between the physical and digital racing worlds, with a strong focus on promoting female talent across both arenas.

As the management stated:

We have recently introduced Zanasi Racing, which will compete with the Ferrari 296 Challenge in the Italian GT Sprint Championship. However, we believe that to engage a younger and more dynamic audience, while also helping to reduce the gender gap in virtual motorsport, an all-female team like this is the right direction.
