Driving Simulation Excellence: SIM Maranello Welcomed DIEF Students and Engineering Professionals

Last May 7, SIM Maranello welcomed students from DIEF – the “Enzo Ferrari” Department of Engineering at UNIMORE, engineering professionals, and members of the Order of Engineers of Modena for a day dedicated to the world of advanced driving simulation. Organized with the involvement of the Order of Engineers of Modena, the initiative provided a valuable opportunity to connect education, technology, and innovation applied to motorsport and sim racing.

From Design to Custom-Built Simulators

During the event, participants had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into SIM Maranello’s work, from the design phase through to the development of fully customized and modular driving simulators tailored for enthusiasts, professional drivers, and companies.

Giacomo Debbia (Head of Development at SIM Maranello) and Andrea Terzi, (Product Development Engineer) led an in-depth session focused on simulation technologies, showcasing development processes, engineering solutions, and real-world applications of driving simulators.

Immersive Technologies and Discussion with the Technical Team

The final Q&A session also drew significant interest, giving students and professionals the chance to engage directly with the SIM Maranello technical team and explore topics related to engineering, simulation realism, and the future evolution of the industry. Open to members of the Order of Engineers and UNIMORE students, the event saw strong participation, confirming the growing interest in immersive technologies and simulation applications within the automotive and motorsport sectors.
